Level I Tavor Operator Course - Lewisberry, PA

Course Information:

This course is designed to teach the fundamentals of shooting the Tavor SAR and X95 rifle systems.

The bullpup design is advantageous as well as unique but requires some additional training to effectively employ the system under stress. Your instruction will be conducted by members of the law enforcement and special operations community.

*This course may require some moderate physical activity.

  • Ballistics
  • Function of the Tavor system
  • Cleaning and maintenance
  • Zeroing
  • Fundamentals of shooting
  • Shooting from various positions
  • Reloads
  • Malfunction clearance
  • Near and far target engagements
  • Turns and pivots

If you do not have an X95 or SAR, please let us know at registration and we will supply one for the training free of charge.

Registration Cost: $500.00*

This covers the cost of the course only. The participant is responsible for costs associated with travel, lodging, meals, firearms (unless requested during registration), ammunition, and gear required. 

*Submitting the online application will hold your spot in the course for one week. During that time period contact IWI US at (717) 695-2081 to arrange payment. A $250 deposit will be processed to secure your place in the course with the remainder of the payment processed one to two weeks prior to your course start date.

  • A Background Check is required with registration.
  • Use SentryLink National Criminal Background Check to obtain your report.
  • Once the report is complete and you have reviewed it for accuracy, forward it to training@iwi.us by using the share button on the report.

The background check requirement will be waived if the applicant can provide a copy of their concealed carry permit, issued by their home state, along with a copy of their driver’s license OR a copy of their law enforcement credentials and their state issued driver’s license.

  • 5 serviceable 30 round magazines
  • Rifle magazine carrier that accommodates a minimum of 2 spare magazines

800 rounds of 5.56 / .223 (No M855 Greentip)

  • Seasonally appropriate clothing
  • Rain gear

  • Boots/hiking shoes
  • Kneepads
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray
  • Water bottle (suggested)
  • Hearing & eye protection
  • Firearms cleaning kit
