Ryan grew up playing nearly every competitive team sport since he was old enough, which instilled a highly competitive spirit within him.  In high school his focus shifted to football where his team competed in two Texas State Championship games.  It was throughout those formative years where he picked up his team’s motto of “Class, Discipline, and Effort”, which he’s applied throughout his life.  Once an “adult” it became harder to find opportunities for team sports, yet he still yearned for something to compete in.  Ryan always had an interest in guns and gear and once he shot his first match he was hooked!  Ryan has been shooting competitively since 2015, each year progressively increasing his involvement, spanning from matches across the country to now internationally.  His passion and focus for the last two years have been to build consistency in his performance and compete at a higher level.  His results this past year have reflected that hard work and effort.  Some of the highlights include winning his first major 3 Gun match; being awarded a spot for Rifle World Shoot in Finland where he placed in the top 20 percent despite some early gear issues; consistently winning most club level matches and finishing among the top shooters in the country at many majors.  Ryan’s currently running the IWI Zion-15 SPR for rifle, a Dissident Arms KL12 Elite shotgun, and an Atlas Gun Works Erebus pistol, all topped with Vortex Optics.
