The IWI Academy Red Dot Pistol focuses on the fundamental operation and handling of a semi-automatic pistol like the Masada, Masada Slim, Jericho, and similar models from various manufacturers, equipped with a red dot pistol optic. The Red Dot Pistol course covers an introduction to red dot optics, their operating mechanisms, and the human operating mechanics of efficiently using a red dot aiming solution on a handgun. It is designed to familiarize shooters with their new firearm and optic in tandem and to work on efficiencies for more experienced shooters. Specific focus shall remain on the advantages, limitations, and considerations of a pistol with an optic. Course topics will cover holster work, reloads, malfunctions of the pistol and optic with corrective measures, and more.
