Rick Torres is a retired SWAT team leader with 20 years of service in law enforcement. During his career as a SWAT team member, Rick deployed on over 1,500 missions, which included hostage rescues, active shooter incidents, armed barricade subjects, and high-risk warrant services. He served many roles on the team, including lead firearms instructor, lead defensive tactics instructor, sniper/observer, rappel master, and tactical instructor. Rick’s last assignment had him working closely with the U.S. Secret Service (CAT) team as a team leader for a Quick Response Team (QRT), providing protection for the president of the United States. 

Rick began competition to hone his skills as a SWAT oeprator and law enforcement officer. Since retirement, he has remained heavily involved in competition and travels the country shooting USPSA, 2-Gun, and Team Sniper competitions for Team IWI.
